JD began his career as a disc jockey in Europe playing at clubs in England Holland and Germany, including the legendary London hotspot, Heaven . He came to Houston from England in the 80s and became the resident DJ at Rich's for most of it's long history. JD started his residency at South Beach after playing the White Party in 2004.

In the 90's he hosted a radio show on Kiss 98.5 for two years, followed by a two year stint at KRTX playing dance music for the masses. In addition to pumping out great music for Houston clubbers, JD focuses on working on remixes and is now concentrating on original tracks.

Over the years JD has been a chart reporter to various magazine's including Billboard and has also won many awards and accolades on the gay and straight scenes including best DJ three years in a row for both Outsmart and Houston Scene Magazines. JD is well respected around the globe and was one of six nominees in the Best World Club DJs held in Las Vegas in 2003.

Since JD joined the South Beach team he has been voted best DJ for 2005 and now again in 2006 by the readers of Outsmart magazine.
